Welcome to our blog!

Hi and welcome!
We will be using this blog to update you on the progress of the construction of Billy and Emmy's house at 444 Gilbert Mills Road. To date they have closed on the 2+ acres gifted to them from Dad and Mom E, had the culvert dug by town supervisor and family friend Cliff Hoyt and his crew (Cliff is the guy in the back hoe helping with the perk test.) The perk test was completed on Saturday, May 4th (only a shallow trench is needed for the septic as opposed to a raised bed...much more $$$ for the raised bed...cause for celebration). Check out the pictures and we will continue to update and post pictures as the progress continues.

The Wood!

The sheetrock dust has finally settled and we are into the "FUN" stuff! The hardwood flooring and ceiling woods were delivered a couple of days ago. Emmy has been sealing the boards non stop since they arrived. The floors are a beautiful Hickory and the cathedral ceiling is being covered with a maple. It looks awesome! Jack is almost finished with the painting. Only a few accent walls left. The colors are fabulous...good job Em! Little Bear (dog) takes everything in stride. The boys are loving being able to explore the acerage.
